Terms and Conditions
1. Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all translation services provided by Veriword Translations, Vanessa Marx, within the scope of freelance translation work. By commissioning a translation, the client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Offer and Conclusion of Contract
The assignment is based on an individual quote provided to the client by email after submission of the document to be translated. A contract is concluded once the client accepts the offer by paying the agreed fee.
3. Delivery and Processing Time
The translation will be processed within the time frame specified in the offer. The completed translation will first be provided to the client as a PDF file for review via email.
4. Corrections and Approval
The client has the opportunity to review the translation for possible errors and provide feedback within five (5) business days of receipt. Corrections will be made free of charge.
After written or tacit approval and the dispatch of the certified translation by post, the project is considered completed.
Subsequent changes or corrections are no longer possible.
5. Shipping and Liability
The certified translation will be sent by standard mail. Upon request, insured shipping (e.g., registered mail) can be arranged for an additional fee.
No liability is assumed for shipments sent by standard mail, particularly for loss or delayed delivery by the shipping company.
6. Payment Terms
Payment must be made in advance by bank transfer or PayPal and is a prerequisite for starting the translation process. All prices include VAT.
7. Confidentiality
All documents and content submitted will be treated confidentially and used solely for the purpose of preparing the offer and completing the translation.
8. Final Provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.
The place of jurisdiction, where legally permissible, is the registered office of the translator.
Should individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be wholly or partially invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
In case of doubt or discrepancies, the German version of these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
